Preserving Community Wisdom
I began making films in 2016 to document the people, programs, and communities I was serving. What started as simple event recap videos evolved into documentary filmmaking that preserves community wisdom, supports advocacy, and tells stories that educate, inspire, and strengthen communities.
Today, my work combines journalism, documentary film, and strategic arts engagement to create media with purpose.
Stories of Freedom
Many of my documentaries center on the lives and experiences of justice-impacted individuals and their families. These films highlight resilience, leadership, and transformation while also creating space for voices that are too often ignored.
GRASSROOTS RESEARCH AND HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE
My work with How Our Lives Link All Together (H.O.L.L.A.) supports community-based research, historical documentation, and public education rooted in the principles of the Healing Justice Movement. Through documentary storytelling, digital media, and strategic communications, I help preserve the histories, philosophies, and organizing traditions that have shaped grassroots movements for healing, justice, and Black liberation. This work also contributes to H.O.L.L.A.'s Afrikan-Centered campaign, helping make community knowledge and lived experience more accessible to organizers, researchers, and future generations.
Music & Creative Projects
In addition to documentary filmmaking, I collaborate with artists, musicians, and community organizations to produce creative visual media that celebrates culture, creativity, and storytelling through film.
