In the heart of the gospel, Jesus imparts a wisdom that transcends time and resonates deeply with the fabric of our daily lives. It's a profound truth that unveils the intricate relationship between our dealings with one another and our spiritual communion with God. This message, brings to modern light, the words of Matthew 5:23-24 and underscores a principle that is as challenging as it is transformative: the essence of our worship is linked to the state of our relationships.
Imagine stepping into the serene ambiance of your place of worship, your heart brimming with the desire to connect with the Divine. But just as you're about to make your offering, a memory surfaces—a disagreement left unresolved, a harsh word unaddressed, a friendship strained by misunderstanding. Jesus challenges us in these moments to pause and reflect, to prioritize the mending of these fractures before we proceed. It's a call to action that emphasizes reconciliation not as a mere ethical duty but as the very heartbeat of genuine worship. Consider the story of Anna and Mia, two long-time friends and active members of their local church choir. A misunderstanding during a rehearsal led to a heated exchange, leaving both hearts wounded and their once harmonious relationship in disarray. Remembering Jesus's teachings, Anna took the courageous step to reach out, to seek understanding and forgiveness. Their reconciliation became a testament to their faith, transforming their personal discord into a deeper, more profound unity. This act of humility and love not only healed their relationship but also enriched their collective worship, infusing it with a sincerity and depth that was palpable to all who shared in their fellowship. This narrative illustrates a fundamental truth: our worship is not confined to the songs we sing or the prayers we offer in solitude. It is lived out in the compassion, forgiveness, and love we extend to one another. It's found in the courage to confront our pride, to bridge the divides that separate us, and to forge bonds of peace and understanding. The beauty of this teaching lies not only in its call to personal transformation but also in its vision for a community united in love and purpose. The journey of reconciliation Jesus invites us to embark upon is both challenging and rewarding. It compels us to look beyond the surface of our rituals and ceremonies, to the heart of what it means to be a follower of Christ. It's a journey that does not ignore the complexities and pains of human relationships but confronts them with the healing power of grace and forgiveness. As we reflect on the message of Matthew 5:23-24, let us embrace the call to be artisans of peace in our communities. Let our worship be a reflection of our love for God and for each other, a love that seeks to heal, to unite, and to transform. In doing so, we not only draw closer to the Divine but also to the very essence of what it means to be human. For in the end, the measure of our worship is found not in the grandeur of our ceremonies but in the depth of our love and the authenticity of our relationships. Isaac I. This expository portrait style short documentary film will explore the role of gospel music in the lives of Christians as it relates to: fostering faith and mental fortitude, relationship and fellowship, holy sacrament, and gratitude. “Art is at the forefront of change. The process begins when we imagine a new world, one that is devoid of stigma and inequality. Resourceful artistic creativity within social change is one of the most influential and sometimes overlooked methods of problem solving.
When rational lived experiences are not enough to change people's minds, attitudes, and behavior, art and popular culture have the potential to touch people on deeper levels of consciousness.” -Naomi Haber The role of music in the Christian church is essential. Music and rhythm are foundational aspects of praise and worship. Insight Ministries Unlimited seeks to conduct video DOCUMENTARY STYLE QUALITATIVE RESEARCH that would provide a historical analysis of the role that gospel music has played in the past as well as how gospel music continues to be instrumental aspect of fostering faith in God for people from the Anglo Christian to the African Christian. By Pastor Isaac Scott It is nothing short of miraculous what the Lord God has done for us. In that God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8). Let us take a moment to Praise the Lord for His Love, His Goodness, and His Compassion for (wo)man!!!
This week at bible study, as we continued to explore the emotions of Christ (God) we revisited Christ’s last supper with the disciples in the Gospel according to St. Luke chapter 22. As you read, place a close eye on verses 3, 16, 32, 44, and 65 REMEMBER!!! COMPASSION COMES WITH A SACRIFICE TO OUR PERSONAL FEELINGS. THE SCRIPTURE SHOWS US THE UNFAITHFULNESS TOWARDS CHRIST BY MORE THAN ONE OF HIS DISCIPLES. THE SAME MEN HE HAD CARED FOR, PRAYED FOR, AND HEALED. BETRAYED HIM TO WICKED MEN, DENIED HIM IN PUBLIC, AND EVEN DOUBTED HIS RESURRECTION. THIS OF COURSE DID NOT MAKE CHRIST HAPPY. FOR THE SCRIPTURE TEACHES US THAT WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM: FOR HE THAT COMETH TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS, AND THAT HE IS A REWARDER OF THEM THAT DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM. (Hebrews 11:6) BECAUSE OF GREED AND FEAR MEN SIN AGAINST THE NAME OF THE LORD. SO WHERE DOES OUR HOPE LIE? JESUS TOLD PETER “I HAVE PRAYED FOR THEE, THAT THY FAITH FAIL NOT: AND WHEN THOU ART CONVERTED, STRENGTHEN THY BRETHREN.” (Luke 22:32) CHRIST PRAYED FOR PETER BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT THE TEST PETER WOULD TAKE WOULD SHAKE HIS FAITH AND CAUSE HIM TO DOUBT HIS OWN FAITH AND WORTHINESS IN GOD. CHRIST DID NOT REBUKE PETER FOR BEING A COWARD. TESTS AND TRIALS WILL COME! THIS WE KNOW! IT IS THESE TIMES WHERE WE MUST REMEMBER THAT “NO TEMPTATION [REGARDLESS OF ITS SOURCE] HAS OVERTAKEN OR ENTICED YOU THAT IS NOT COMMON TO HUMAN EXPERIENCE [NOR IS ANY TEMPTATION UNUSUAL OR BEYOND HUMAN RESISTANCE]; BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL [TO HIS WORD—HE IS COMPASSIONATE AND TRUSTWORTHY], AND HE WILL NOT LET YOU BE TEMPTED BEYOND YOUR ABILITY [TO RESIST], BUT ALONG WITH THE TEMPTATION HE [HAS IN THE PAST AND IS NOW AND] WILL [ALWAYS] PROVIDE THE WAY OUT AS WELL, SO THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ENDURE IT [WITHOUT YIELDING, AND WILL OVERCOME TEMPTATION WITH JOY]” (1 CORINTHIANS 10:13) EVEN CHRIST WAS IN AGONY AS HE PRAYED TO THE FATHER (Luke 22:44) AND HE AROSE FROM PRAYER WITH COMPASSION FOR HIS SLEEPING DISCIPLES AND COMPASSION EVEN FOR THE MEN WHO HAD COME TO TAKE HIM AWAY. HE GAVE NO EXCUSE TO JUSTIFY ANGER AND WRATH TOWARDS THEM FOR THEIR WRONGDOINGS. NEITHER SHOULD YOU!!! TRUE LOVE SHOWS COMPASSION! IT IS PATIENT AND IT IS SLOW TO ANGER! LET US SHOW COMPASSION TOWARDS ONE ANOTHER THIS DAY Please review the following scriptures during your studies: (Luke 22) (Psalms 86:15, 145:8-9) (Lamentations 3:22-27) By Pastor Isaac Scott We are continuing to explore the CHARACTER OF GOD (Christ). Under this theme we are spoke this past Sunday 4/21 about The Power of the Tongue to Activate and Deactivate the Holy Spirit in Our lives.
REMEMBER THAT YOU ALONE CONTROL THE POWER TO ACTIVATE OR DEACTIVATE THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE WORLD AROUND YOU. LIFE AND DEATH IS IN THE POWER OF THE TOUNGUE. YOUR LIVES AND THE LIVES OF OTHERS. THERE IS A DEGREE OF PRUDENCE AND WISDOM THAT IS PRESENT WHEN WE CONTROL THE THINGS WE SAY TO ONE ANOTHER. DO YOUR WORDS BRING GLORY TO GOD OR GLORY TO YOURSELF? DO YOUR WORDS SPIRITUALLY UPLIFT AND EMPOWER OR DO THEY INTEROGATE AND JUDGE WITH MALICE? WE MUST CONFRONT THESE QUESTIONS WITH BOLDNESS AND HUMILITY TO REPENT AT THE SIGHT OF SIN AND UNBELIEF! THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE WORDS WE SAY TO OURSELVES ABOUT OUR OWN LIVES!!! FOR AS A MAN THINKETH SO IS HE!!! Please review the following scripture. (John 1:1-18, 3:16, 11:25-26); (Colossians 4:5-6); (Ephesians 4:29-31); (Proverbs 15:4); (Matthew 15:11-20) By Pastor Isaac Scott Accountability the fact or condition of being accountable; responsibility; Accountable>>>(of a person, organization, or institution) required or expected to justify actions or decisions; responsible. OPENING PASSAGE 2 Corinthians 5:1-10 The Message We know that when these bodies of ours are taken down like tents and folded away, they will be replaced by resurrection bodies in heaven—God-made, not handmade—and we’ll never have to relocate our “tents” again. Sometimes we can hardly wait to move—and so we cry out in frustration. Compared to what’s coming, living conditions around here seem like a stopover in an unfurnished shack, and we’re tired of it! We’ve been given a glimpse of the real thing, our true home, our resurrection bodies! The Spirit of God whets our appetite by giving us a taste of what’s ahead. He puts a little of heaven in our hearts so that we’ll never settle for less. 6-8 That’s why we live with such good cheer. You won’t see us drooping our heads or dragging our feet! Cramped conditions here don’t get us down. They only remind us of the spacious living conditions ahead. It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us? When the time comes, we’ll be plenty ready to exchange exile for homecoming. 9-10 But neither exile nor homecoming is the main thing. Cheerfully pleasing God is the main thing, and that’s what we aim to do, regardless of our conditions. Sooner or later we’ll all have to face God, regardless of our conditions. We will appear before Christ and take what’s coming to us as a result of our actions, either good or bad. INTEGRITY IS THE KEY INGREDIENT TO ACCOUNTABILITY Part of being accountable is having integrity (the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. Integrity is important because we are all biased about our actions. Many of us throw stones from a high mansion. We dish it out but we can’t take it back. We want others to be patient and forgiving but we are not willing to forgive. We minimize the truth. We tell only our part of the story, only our truths and our realities in the situation matter to us……..Or we turn to the blame game. MANY PEOPLE CANNOT JUSTIFY THEIR ACTIONS OR DECISIONS, NOR DO THEY TAKE ANY FORM OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN BEHAVIOR THAT IS OUTSIDE OF BLAMING SOMEONE ELSE FOR THEIR FOR THE EVENTS THAT TRANSPIRED. Many of yall sound like “well, I did that because they did this to me first….” ; “if you hadn’t done what you did then I would have felt like I needed to do what I did”.
As believers we are called to a higher level of service to one another. We are called to be peacemakers who are prepared and not afraid to go the extra mile, even when no one else is willing to. When we as believers fail to take full responsibility for our complete role in any sequence of events, we allow the pride of the lying devil to (enemy) blind us from receiving healing and support in the areas that the Lord wants to enhance our character.
When we carry Godly integrity we will no longer live according to our own emotionally driven truths because we are of God, we know that God is Love and we know that love rejoices in the truth, even the (hard to deal with) truth(s) about ourselves. Lies and half truths are an abomination to the Lord. The truth is vulnerable and not proud; the truth is whole and not one-sided. Being honest about where we may have went wrong is an opportunity for healing and correction:
THE REWARD OF ACCOUNTABILITY IS GRACE AND FAVOR FROM GOD
By Pastor Isaac Scott As many of us are truly beginning our SPIRITUAL journey with Jesus Christ (but may not admit it), this message is being delivered by the Lord through my personal spiritual experience and understanding for your personal spiritual health and edification.
Vocabulary.com states that “Spirituality has to do with the spirit, not as in ghosts, but as in the essence of being human — your soul or your inner life. Spirituality often has to do with religion, but it doesn't have to... Religions usually have defined beliefs, rituals, and guidelines; spirituality is more individual.” As a devout follower of Jesus Christ (not the white european jesus), my spirituality is directly connected to my relationship with God (Jesus). This relationship is based 100% on faith in Him (complete trust or confidence in someone or something) rather than proof of His existence. It is equally important that I reiterate that I believe the Holy Bible is God’s word 100% true and without error. You can find a snapshot of every book of the Holy Bible here: https://overviewbible.com/books-of-the-bible/ There are some foundational principles found in the Holy Bible for following the way of Jesus Christ that may help you to understand my irrational relationship with a God that I can’t see, feel, touch, or see in the physical:
If you would like to get more context to these bible verses it is important to read the verses before and after verses that I highlight. There is also a good amount of bible verses dedicated to spiritual blindness, in unbelievers. 1 Corinthians 2:14 states: But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually appraised. You can find more bible verses on spiritual blindness here: https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/Spiritual-Blindness,-In-Unbelievers By Pastor Isaac Scott
This is a two-week lesson. In week one we discussed God’s Anger, God’s Love, and God’s Hatred towards pride, arrogance, and falsehood. REMEMBER: WE WERE MADE IN THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF THE MOST HIGH GOD. WE HAVE EMOTIONS BECAUSE GOD HAS EMOTIONS. GOD SO LOVED US THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON THAT YOU AND I COULD LIVE (John 3:16) GOD WANTS US TO CONTROL OUR FEELINGS THE SAME WAY HE DOES. HE TELLS US TO BE ANGRY AND SIN NOT (Ephesians 4:26). SECONDLY, GOD IS MOST DISAPPOINTED WITH US WHEN WE ARE WISE IN OUR OWN SIGHT. HE TELLS US TO TRUST IN HIM WITH ALL OF OUR HEART AND LEAN NOT ON OUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. (Proverbs 3:5) WHEN WE REFUSE HIS CORRECTION AND BECOME STIFF NECKED HE IS MOST UNHAPPY!!! THIRDLY, WHEN WE CHOOSE TO SERVE OTHER GOD’S WE INCITE HIS WRATH. FINALLY, GOD WANTS US TO LOVE HOW HE LOVES AND HATE THOSE HE HATES. PRIDE AND ARROGANCE ARE AN ABOMINATION TO HIM AND IT SHOULD BE FOR US AS WELL. THOSE WHO HUMBLE THEMSELVES WILL BE EXALTED AND THOSE WHO EXALT THEMSELVES WILL BE HUMBLED. (Matthew 23:12) Please review the following scriptures: (Exodus 32:7-10) (Psalm 86:15, 145: 8-9) (Proverbs 6:16, 8:12-17) (Isaiah 5:21-25) (Lamentations 3:22-27) (Luke 14:26) (John 3:16) (Romans 5:8 How Many Times Have You Said That You Will Do What God Wants When God Changes What You Want ?7/1/2021 By Pastor Isaac Scott “I need to make money first, so I will serve God with my gift as soon as I can get paid for it!”
“I will come to church more often when the lord gets me that car!” “I will change the way I treat people when they change the way they treat me first!” AND SO ON...WE HAVE ALL SAID SOMETHING LIKE THIS AND SOME OF US ARE STILL NOT SERVING THE LORD THE WAY HE CALLS US TO BECAUSE WE WANT SOMETHING FROM GOD BEFORE WE WILL WORK FOR GOD. JESUS TELLS US “DON’T THINK I’VE COME TO MAKE LIFE COZY. I’VE COME TO CUT—MAKE A SHARP KNIFE-CUT BETWEEN SON AND FATHER, DAUGHTER AND MOTHER, BRIDE AND MOTHER-IN-LAW—CUT THROUGH THESE COZY DOMESTIC ARRANGEMENTS AND FREE YOU FOR GOD. WELL-MEANING FAMILY MEMBERS CAN BE YOUR WORST ENEMIES. IF YOU PREFER FATHER OR MOTHER OVER ME, YOU DON’T DESERVE ME. IF YOU PREFER SON OR DAUGHTER OVER ME, YOU DON’T DESERVE ME. “IF YOU DON’T GO ALL THE WAY WITH ME, THROUGH THICK AND THIN, YOU DON’T DESERVE ME. IF YOUR FIRST CONCERN IS TO LOOK AFTER YOURSELF, YOU’LL NEVER FIND YOURSELF. BUT IF YOU FORGET ABOUT YOURSELF AND LOOK TO ME, YOU’LL FIND BOTH YOURSELF AND ME.” Matthew 10:37-39 The Message (MSG). WHEN WE BEGIN TO WORRY ABOUT THE THINGS THAT WE NEED WE MUST REMEMBER THAT JESUS PROMISED US THAT GOD KNOWS OUR NEEDS AND WILL SUPPLY THEM. HE TELLS US RATHER TO “FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANTLY SEEK (AIM AT, STRIVE AFTER) HIS KINGDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS [HIS WAY OF DOING AND BEING RIGHT—THE ATTITUDE AND CHARACTER OF GOD], AND ALL THESE THINGS WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU ALSO. “SO DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW; FOR TOMORROW WILL WORRY ABOUT ITSELF. EACH DAY HAS ENOUGH TROUBLE OF ITS OWN. Matthew 6:31-34 Amplified Bible (AMP). LISTEN TO WHAT JESUS TELLS THE PEOPLE WHO WISH TO TAKE CARE OF WORLDLY THINGS BEFORE THEY FOLLOW HIM: LUKE 9:57-62 AMPLIFIED BIBLE (AMP) AS THEY WERE GOING ALONG THE ROAD, SOMEONE SAID TO HIM, “I WILL FOLLOW YOU WHEREVER YOU GO.” AND JESUS TOLD HIM, “FOXES HAVE HOLES AND THE BIRDS OF THE AIR HAVE NESTS, BUT THE SON OF MAN HAS NO PLACE TO LAY HIS HEAD.” HE SAID TO ANOTHER, “FOLLOW ME [ACCEPTING ME AS MASTER AND TEACHER].” BUT HE SAID, “LORD, ALLOW ME FIRST TO GO AND BURY MY FATHER.” BUT HE SAID TO HIM, “ALLOW THE [SPIRITUALLY] DEAD TO BURY THEIR OWN DEAD; BUT AS FOR YOU, GO AND SPREAD THE NEWS ABOUT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.” ANOTHER ALSO SAID, “I WILL FOLLOW YOU, LORD [AS YOUR DISCIPLE]; BUT FIRST LET ME SAY GOODBYE TO THOSE AT MY HOME.” BUT JESUS SAID TO HIM, “NO ONE WHO PUTS HIS HAND TO THE PLOW AND LOOKS BACK [TO THE THINGS LEFT BEHIND] IS FIT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD.” THE SCRIPTURE SAYS THAT YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW. IT DOES NOT SAY THAT YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU HAVE NOT SOWN, NOR DOES IT SAY THAT YOU WILL REAP BEFORE YOU HAVE SOWN!!! REMEMBER: A STINGY PLANTER GETS A STINGY CROP; A LAVISH PLANTER GETS A LAVISH CROP. I WANT EACH OF YOU TO TAKE PLENTY OF TIME TO THINK IT OVER, AND MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND WHAT YOU WILL GIVE. THAT WILL PROTECT YOU AGAINST SOB STORIES AND ARM-TWISTING. GOD LOVES IT WHEN THE GIVER DELIGHTS IN THE GIVING. 2 Corinthians 9:5-7 The Message (MSG) THE SCRIPTURE TEACHES US TO HONOR THE LORD WITH THY SUBSTANCE, AND WITH THE FIRST-FRUITS OF ALL THINE INCREASE: SO SHALL THY BARNS BE FILLED WITH PLENTY, AND THY PRESSES SHALL BURST OUT WITH NEW WINE. THIS MEANS THAT WE MUST HONOR HIM WITH OUR GIFTS ALSO, NOT JUST WITH MONEY OR A FEW HOURS HERE AND THERE WHEN YOU HAVE SOME TIME TO SQUEEZE GOD INTO YOUR SCHEDULE. I WILL END BY POSING A QUESTION TO YOU: IF GOD ALREADY KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED, DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL IGNORE YOUR SITUATION AND LEAVE YOU IN NEED WHEN YOU SERVE HIM AND HIS HOUSE FIRST? Please review the following scripture about you salvation and post any questions you may have here. (Matthew 6)(Luke 9) By Pastor Isaac Scott This past Sunday at bible study we wrapped up our lessons on the emotions of God, which was a subtopic of the lessons on the character of God. These lesson are imperative for us to understand how much we are created in God’s likeness and image and not him in our image! In Sunday’s lesson we explored the actions that grieve the heart of God as we seek fellowship with Him.
REMEMBER! OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD/CHRIST IS SUPPOSED BE THE MOST INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP THAT WE HAVE ON THIS EARTH. JESUS COMMANDS US “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.” (Matthew 22:37). GETTING TO KNOW GOD PERSONALLY IS NOT ONLY OUR TICKET INTO HEAVEN BUT IT IS WHAT JUSTIFIES US AT THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT. HE REMINDS US THAT “MANY WILL SAY TO ME ON THAT DAY [WHEN I JUDGE THEM], ‘LORD, LORD, HAVE WE NOT PROPHESIED IN YOUR NAME, AND DRIVEN OUT DEMONS IN YOUR NAME, AND DONE MANY MIRACLES IN YOUR NAME?’ AND THEN I WILL DECLARE TO THEM PUBLICLY, ‘I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME [YOU ARE BANISHED FROM MY PRESENCE], YOU WHO ACT WICKEDLY [DISREGARDING MY COMMANDS].’” (Matthew 7:22-23) IF WE HAVE NOT DIRECT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, WE HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING HOW TO PLEASE HIM. THINK OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AS BEING IN A DREAM RELATIONSHIP WITH A DREAM PARTNER. THE SAME WAY YOU WOULDN’T BEHAVE IN A WAY TO DISRESPECT OR HURT YOU DREAM PARTNER, THE SAME WAY WE SHOULD NOT DO THINGS THAT GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT. GOD REMINDS US TO WATCH THE WAY YOU TALK. LET NOTHING FOUL OR DIRTY COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. SAY ONLY WHAT HELPS, EACH WORD A GIFT. DON’T GRIEVE GOD. DON’T BREAK HIS HEART. HIS HOLY SPIRIT, MOVING AND BREATHING IN YOU, IS THE MOST INTIMATE PART OF YOUR LIFE, MAKING YOU FIT FOR HIMSELF. DON’T TAKE SUCH A GIFT FOR GRANTED. MAKE A CLEAN BREAK WITH ALL CUTTING, BACKBITING, PROFANE TALK. BE GENTLE WITH ONE ANOTHER, SENSITIVE. FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER AS QUICKLY AND THOROUGHLY AS GOD IN CHRIST FORGAVE YOU.” (Ephesians 4:29-32 MSG) Please review the following scripture and post any questions you may have here. (Genesis 6:1-7) (Isaiah 63:7-10) Ephesians 4:21-32) By Pastor Isaac Scott This week we began our first lesson on the topic of salvation. We began by exploring the following questions:
THERE BECAME A TIME WHEN MAN’S TEMPORARY ANIMAL SACRIFICES WERE FULFILLED AND THE PERMANENT SACRIFICE OF CHRIST NEEDED TO BE MADE FOR ALL OF HUMANITY TO ESTABLISH THE NEW TESTAMENT AND TABERNACLE. THE BOOK OF HEBREWS TEACHES US: “AFTER THIS WAS SET UP, THE PRIESTS WENT ABOUT THEIR DUTIES IN THE LARGE TENT. ONLY THE HIGH PRIEST ENTERED THE SMALLER, INSIDE TENT, AND THEN ONLY ONCE A YEAR, OFFERING A BLOOD SACRIFICE FOR HIS OWN SINS AND THE PEOPLE’S ACCUMULATED SINS. THIS WAS THE HOLY SPIRIT’S WAY OF SHOWING WITH A VISIBLE PARABLE THAT AS LONG AS THE LARGE TENT STANDS, PEOPLE CAN’T JUST WALK IN ON GOD. UNDER THIS SYSTEM, THE GIFTS AND SACRIFICES CAN’T REALLY GET TO THE HEART OF THE MATTER, CAN’T ASSUAGE THE CONSCIENCE OF THE PEOPLE, BUT ARE LIMITED TO MATTERS OF RITUAL AND BEHAVIOR. IT’S ESSENTIALLY A TEMPORARY ARRANGEMENT UNTIL A COMPLETE OVERHAUL COULD BE MADE. BUT WHEN THE MESSIAH ARRIVED, HIGH PRIEST OF THE SUPERIOR THINGS OF THIS NEW COVENANT, HE BYPASSED THE OLD TENT AND ITS TRAPPINGS IN THIS CREATED WORLD AND WENT STRAIGHT INTO HEAVEN’S “TENT”—THE TRUE HOLY PLACE—ONCE AND FOR ALL. HE ALSO BYPASSED THE SACRIFICES CONSISTING OF GOAT AND CALF BLOOD, INSTEAD USING HIS OWN BLOOD AS THE PRICE TO SET US FREE ONCE AND FOR ALL.” (Hewbrews 9:6-15) “FOR GOD SO LOVED AND DEARLY PRIZED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, SO THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES AND TRUSTS IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, (John 3:16) WE MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THAT A HUGE SACRIFICE WAS MADE BY GOD AND CHRIST. GOD OFFERED UP HIS OWN SON AS THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB THAT WAS HOLY IN HIS SIGHT (John 1:29) CHRIST OFFERED UP HIS OWN FLESH TO BE BEATEN AND SCOURGED. BUT HE WAS WOUNDED FOR OUR TRANSGRESSIONS, HE WAS CRUSHED FOR OUR WICKEDNESS [OUR SIN, OUR INJUSTICE, OUR WRONGDOING]; THE PUNISHMENT [REQUIRED] FOR OUR WELL-BEING FELL ON HIM, AND BY HIS STRIPES (WOUNDS) WE ARE HEALED. (Isaiah 53:5-7) WE MUST OPENLY ACCEPT THE SACRIFICE THAT CHRIST MADE FOR US ON THE CROSS IN ORDER TO BE SAVED SAVED!!! BECAUSE IF YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT JESUS IS LORD [RECOGNIZING HIS POWER, AUTHORITY, AND MAJESTY AS GOD], AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED. FOR WITH THE HEART A PERSON BELIEVES [IN CHRIST AS SAVIOR] RESULTING IN HIS JUSTIFICATION [THAT IS, BEING MADE RIGHTEOUS—BEING FREED OF THE GUILT OF SIN AND MADE ACCEPTABLE TO GOD]; AND WITH THE MOUTH HE ACKNOWLEDGES AND CONFESSES [HIS FAITH OPENLY], RESULTING IN AND CONFIRMING [HIS] SALVATION. FOR THE SCRIPTURE SAYS, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM [WHOEVER ADHERES TO, TRUSTS IN, AND RELIES ON HIM] WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED [IN HIS EXPECTATIONS].” FOR THERE IS NO DISTINCTION BETWEEN JEW AND GENTILE; FOR THE SAME LORD IS LORD OVER ALL [OF US], AND [HE IS] ABOUNDING IN RICHES (BLESSINGS) FOR ALL WHO CALL ON HIM [IN FAITH AND PRAYER]. FOR “WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD[IN PRAYER] WILL BE SAVED. (Romans 10:9-13) Please review the following scripture about you salvation. (Isaiah 53) (John 1) (Romans 6, 10:9-13) (Gal 5:22-26) (Eph 5:1, 4:22-25) (Col 3) |
