Conor Ryan Broderick
Born in Williamstown, MA, a self-taught water-color painter living in Marianna, Florida, Conor spent his earliest years in Saudi Arabia where his father worked as a U.S. government architect. The family later moved to the West Coast, north of Seattle, where Conor grew up. The Cascade Mountains of Washington became one of his touchstones.
Conor’s keen interest and inventive curiosity about how things work led him into explorations in auto and marine mechanics, and always, art. This has led to “inventing paint” and creating color out of surprising products, as well as creating painting tools including rapidographs and brushes, as his quest deepened to learn about watercolor paint and its many properties.
Conor Broderick is currently working on completing his Associates Degree, in Business, Sociology and Art, at Adams State University through the Distance Learning Program (Colorado). Proceeds from the sale of any original work or copy of his watercolors goes to a special fund created to support his college book purchases and tuition.

“Having to be self-taught in my environment, being able to express creativity is very important to me, especially understanding the fundamentals, and sometimes having to “reprogram.” It has been important to be able to express myself in many different mediums. It allows me to gain skills in one area, that further aid developing techniques and understanding of another medium. The style that I am developing now is more relaxed and takes advantage of the transparency value of w/c.” CB, 2018
